Guttenberg Training Burn

Guttenberg Fire Department executed a controlled house burn on Oct. 10 where they worked on ventilation, hose handling, drafting, and property containment. It was executed perfectly, burnt from the top floor down and worked the fire throughout the house. Everything was controlled and fell in on itself. All was completed in 2.5 hours. We would like to thank the homeowners for granting us the opportunity to train! Also a thank you to Holy Cross/ North Buena Vista Fire Department with a supplied tanker truck as a back up, and Cherry Valley Excavating for controlling the back side of the house.
